ECPAT launches the book “The Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children“

ECPAT Sweden launches its book “The Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children” (JURE Law Books). The book provides an overview of child sex tourism, child pornography and trafficking of minors for sexual purposes, as well as an historical overview and examples of the work of the ECPAT movement.
The book “The Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children” was first launched at a seminar in the European Parliament in Brussels on the 24th of May 2011. The event was hosted by the Member of the European Parliament Mr Alf Svensson, and the main speaker was EU Commissioner Ms Cecilia Malmstrom.

A global sex trade is ongoing where the bodies of children are sold and bought like any merchandise. Millions of children are victims. The demand for sex with children is the main driving force in this cynical and lucrative trade that knows no borders.
